Resumen
ANTECEDENTES: Disponer de un instrumento que permita evaluar con precisión la conducta alimentaria es un requisito necesario para desarrollar investigaciones orientadas a mejorar la salud nutricional de las personas. OBJETIVO: Este estudio examinó las propiedades psicométricas del Cuestionario de Alimentación de Tres Factores (TFEQ) revisado-18 en una muestra de adultos chilenos. MÉTODO: Mediante una encuesta online, se evaluó el comportamiento alimentario, los niveles de estrés, la ansiedad y la autorregulación alimentaria a 618 participantes de ambos sexos. Se llevaron a cabo análisis de AFC, fiabilidad, validez concurrente y análisis de invarianza en función del sexo. RESULTADO: Se confirmó la estructura tridimensional de la escala, compuesta por los factores de Restricción Cognitiva (RC), Desinhibición Alimentaria (DA) y Alimentación Emocional (AE). También se corroboró la invariancia por sexo. Se obtuvieron coeficientes de consistencia interna satisfactorios para cada una de las escalas. Los factores DA y AE correlacionaron positivamente con los niveles ansiedad y estrés, mientras que RC asoció de forma inversa con la autorregulación alimentaria. CONCLUSIÓN: Nuestros hallazgos sugieren que el TFEQ-18 es una medida psicométricamente válida y fiable que puede usarse para evaluar el comportamiento alimentario en población de adultos chilenos.
