Abstract
The aim of this research was to evaluate the effectiveness of an intervention directed to reduce the frequency of aggressive behavior among pre- school children, by training their mothers and teachers. A training program for mothers and teachers was designed and implemented, in order to modify their irrational beliefs referred to the guidance of kids and to teach them appropriate procedures for modification in the children’s behavior.
The design for the assessment of an effective treatment implementation was the so called multiple baseline design in terms of clinical and statistical meaning. The intervention was successful since the mothers and teachers diminished his irrational beliefs and improved their skills of behavior modification when tackling the aggressiveness of the toddlers. On the other hand, the children also diminished the frequency of aggressive
verbal, physical and opponent behavior both within the family and school contexts.
